Kitchen island is finished

The kitchen island is finished and sold in one day at Rockin B Antiques!!  .
There was plenty of extra storage under the island for bowls, pots and pans, etc.

The white coffee table and small black bench also sold in just 4 days.  Thanks to all our great customers at Rockin B Antiques in Newnan, GA

Sewing room-how to project

Spring will be here before we know it and I have to get ready for my spring craft shows.  These are the finished quilted eggs that I made.
I made a pattern out of freezer paper, drew the shape of the size of egg I wanted to make.  Folded the freezer paper in half and cut out the egg so it would be even.  I cut the backs out of muslin which I tea stained and let dry.  I cut the front side of the egg out of an old cutter quilt.  I stitched right sides together leaving the bottom open for turning right side out and then stuffing.  When stuffed firmly, sew the bottom of the eggs closed.
I put the finished quilted eggs in a Longaberger Easter basket.  Aren't they cute!!  Such a quick and easy project.

This is the frame for the kitchen island we are constructing.  The base will be painted black and there will be a lower shelf to store items.
This old barn wood door will be the top of the kitchen island.  It will be sanded smooth and waxed for durability.
